| Creative Poetry Writing Tuesdays 7pm to 9pm 7 wks—$100 member/$120non member This is a workshop focusing on poetry and prose poetry for writers beyond the beginner’s stage. We will focus on streamlining the student’s poetry into a style that will allow readers an experience of continuity from poem to poem. This will also allow the poet more focus as he/she narrows choice of subject matter and aspects of style, i.e., line, narrative, lyric, etc. We will learn from each other how to transform our raw material (and our experiences) into crafted poems and very short pieces of prose. Some reading of contemporary poetry will also be involved. |
