Classes for Adults & Teens
Spring 2008    Beginning March 31, 2008
Studio Arts Center offers classes and workshops taught by
experienced artists and instructors who enjoy the opportunity to
"pay it forward". They remember when they began their own
journey to explore that needling desire to CREATE.

Our instructors remember their first teachers and mentors. They
remember ever dollar embezzled from their family's grocery fund to
pay for classes, supplies, exhibit entry fees and more classes. They
also remember their good teachers and those who disappointed
them. These collected memories are the basis of their desire to give
their best to their students and live by the

  1. To be a perpetual student striving always to become a better
    artist
  2. To have guiding principles and direction in my work.
  3. To be a practicing artist striving for excellence.
  4. To be a leader in my field, not merely a classroom manager, in
order to inspire my students beyond the classroom walls.
  5. To have passion for my own creativity and the compassion to
understand, recognize, and respect my students' practices.
  6. To be an active participant in local, regional, and national
organizations and exhibitions with a clear understanding of
    trends and my own position.
  7. To build a close bond between me and my students to provide
    continuing encouragement and support.
  8. To share my creative experiences and new discoveries with
    my students.
  9. To provide my students with affordable instruction.
  10. To teach my students the basics including studio etiquette,
safe studio practices, and respect for their creative tools.

for Being a Good Art Instructor
The Spring Class Semester begins the week of March 31. Our classes are
purposely small to give instructors the opportunity to offer individual
instruction.

The tuition for classes is priced at an affordable $5/hr. There are no
additional fees. Class sessions are two to three hours meeting once a week
for four, six, or eight weeks.

Questions regarding classes and supplies are welcome. Please email or
phone the Studio with your questions.
