| From Handmade Paper to Handmade Books Four Wednesdays from 4pm to 5:30pm Suitable for ages 12 to 16 yrs Each session includes instruction and all supplies Sessions may be taken individually at $15/session or register for all four for $40 February 13 Handmade Paper Students will work with cotton pulp to form sheets of paper that may be used during the next three sessions. (Those who do not sign up for this week will use commercial grade papers for their projects.) February 20 Calligraphy Using various calligraphy markers students will learn a simple calligraphic alphabet February 27 Non-adhesive Handmade Books Using handmade papers as well as decorative and commercial papers students will make three simple handmade books without using any glue. March 12 Japanese Sewn Bindings Students will learn the very basic 'stab' bindings to make two (possibly three) books. |
