
Studio Arts invites you to participate in a juried exhibit that may be the first of a series of exhibits
designed specifically to show & sell original art produced by local artists.
Media: Artists may submit up to 3 ready-to-hang 2D work in any media and genre. Size limitation: no
larger than 32” X 26” (horizontal or vertical) framed.
Drop off work for jurying: February 12, 13, 14, 15 from 130pm to 6pm or call for appt.
Artists must also provide a brief bio at this time on 8.5" X 11 white all-purpose copy paper that will
become a part of a catalog/directory that will accompany the exhibit. In writing your bio, please keep in
mind this info will be used to sell you and your work to prospective buyers and collectors.
Jury: February 16 by a team of three jurors
Entry fee: The entry fees will be used for valuable promotion purposes and for providing the jurors and
preparator (s) with a modest stipend.
$7 per piece for members of Friends of Studio Arts at the Friends level; $5 per piece to those at the
Patron level, and free to those members at the Artisan and Salon level. Non member fee is $10 per

Jurors Awards: There will be three Jurors Awards. Images of these pieces will be used to promote the
exhibit.
Commission: Studio Arts will retain 30% of the sale price.
Reception: Participating artists will be asked to provide 'something' for the reception. This can be in
the form of finger foods, beverages (beer, wine, and pop) and/or by helping with setting up and
cleaning up.
Promotion & Advertising: Studio Arts will send press releases to print and broadcast media. The
information will be posted on its web site, ArtsEverywhere, and anywhere else it can. Artists will be
asked to help with spreading the word via their own contacts and posting of flyers that will be provided
by Studio Arts.
Studio Arts will produce flyers and printed invitations for distribution and mailing.
This is an exhibit that will focus on finding buyers. The jurors will be given the following guidelines:
• Choose work that has "commercial" and/or collector appeal
• Framing and presentation should have professional quality.
• Work should show the artist's skill and control of medium.
• Select what will attract and interest buyers and collectors.
Take an active role in showing & selling: Gallery hours during this exhibit can be extended to Mon
thru Fri 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm with the help of volunteers.
Artists will be encouraged to volunteer to gallery sit. A schedule will be provided at a later date.
