| Catherine McCormick |
Catherine McCormick has taught lessons in pastels and drawing for more than 15 years.
She received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater,
where she studied art.
She worked as a designer and editor at newspapers in Colorado Springs and Phoenix before moving to
Indiana in December 2000.
She has worked in oils, watercolors, mixed media and photography, but pastels have been her favorite
medium since 1986. Her work has been featured in many shows, and she has coordinated more than a
dozen exhibits, workshops and art conferences.
She has lectured and given classes in drawing and pastel painting for adults and children, and she served
as resident artist at Prairie Vista Elementary School, Granger, in 2004 and 2005.
She is a docent at the South Bend Regional Museum of Art and Snite Museum, Notre Dame.
Her art is featured in galleries in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona, and many private collections
around the country.
